The Light Well Glass Cross
Made of pieces of sculpted safety glass, stacked on metal rods and weighing almost a ton, the Light Well Cross is the work of American artist, Danny Lane.
The Cross hangs in the Light Well to unite the work of The Crossing on all three floors, expressing God's interest in the whole of life.
The four horizontal arms of The Cross point north, south, east and west. They symbolise the ministry of Christ reaching out to all.
The glass lantern in the roof ('The Light Well') allows sunlight to illuminate the building, as the light of God illuminates our lives.
